Your viewpoint is that men should protect and provide for the women and kids, I don't agree with that at all, and I do this everyone, man and woman, pave their own paths, what they want and what they like. And the concept of leadership in relationship, and gendering it, or, advising men to lead on certain places, women on the others, is really a very ineffective and often harmful and limiting advise, many men are not good providers, or, protectors and that's completely okay, many women are not good homemakers, or, nurturers, and that's entirely okay too. But by creating such narrative, it just puts pressure and shame on people saying they are not carrying out their natural duties, or, the things they are apparently best suited for, which leads to immense insecurity, low self-esteem and violence. Gender roles are not natural, these are society's creations. Created basically to keep the system of capitalism intact and flourishing, among others. You won't see women animals relying on the male animals to get protection or be provided for. They hunt by themselves, they protect their kids themselves, sure the males in the team chase away outsiders, but that is mainly because they want to mark their territories, not to protect the females. From our experience too, women who are sharp/experienced enough to not depend on a man for providing and protection are the most free, happy and safe ones. It's really straight-forward, isn't it? Protect and provide for yourself, create and support a society where every human being can protect and provide for themselves just fine, without any discrimination, and don't really get into a transactional relationship.

Not the initial for Man/Male. After all, this letter is not only reserved for that. It's the initial of my name, and I am a woman.
