Many women want househusbands. I, for one, am one of them. But the man have to be completely willing to be so, have self-respect and not come from insecurity, and lastly but most importantly, treat and care for the home and the kids/elderly etc. in a genuine way.

I agree with you that most women bear a patriarchal mindset inside themselves and operate within that trope of shame, fear and peer pressure, mostly. But, that doesn't negate the existence of women who don't have that stereotypical mindset or a willingness to settle for a life under these faux. And, most men are also abhorred by the idea of being househusbands, or, depending financially on the wife, and they are so poisonous they are running their mouths spewing sexist shits whenever they see a couple where the man is a househusband, all the while broadcasting themselves being oh-so-supportive husbands to their not-so-willing homemaker wives.
