I used to think in such cases where the society and legal system condemn the women and ruin their life for the "crime" od defending themselves and standing up for themselves, at least the women's jail will give them some safety from predators, abusers and manipulators in exchange of taking everything away including their freedom to live and breathe in the open world (to whatever extend it is possible as a woman living in a man's world). But I was so wrong. There, the male wardens and other officials often rape and kill these women and they can't even try to seek for protection or justice.
