I have the exact same thought. But by this, I don't mean to disregard any transgender person's feelings, but I want to understand it from someone who is willing to share/explain. My friend told me they were transgender and identifies mostly as a woman most of the times, sometimes as one from the more opposite gender spectrum (that is more as a man, but not completely, and this is my interpretation of what they said, so there's a possibility that I've not fully understood what they were saying). I told them that I know I am a female, and I have no apparent problem being a woman, because I don't believe in gender roles/duties at all, and I am my own individual. They asked me if I was gender dysphoric, and I said I was not, at least judging by my knowledge about the concept of gender dyaphoria. From my conversation with that friend of mine, what I understood is they have a huge issue (just like me, but most probably in different intensity) with the gender roles and expectations imposed on them by family, culture and society, and they want to break free from that. But, that is not the only dysphoria. They also are heavily repelled by certain body parts and want to transition. So, that is why, I also think, there's only body dysphoria once you discard the social contruct of gender. But I want to hear more from trans people, and logical people in general.

Not the initial for Man/Male. After all, this letter is not only reserved for that. It's the initial of my name, and I am a woman.
