For the case where a woman gets an unplanned pregnancy and wants a baby, while the man doesn't, yes, the man's feelings should be taken into consideration. But it is often treated in the wrong way. By default, every living and breathing human being (being their birthing person willingly bring into earth. And, the being whose birthing person was wrongfully forced to give birth, but now as they are born, they are also human) has rights to basic sustenance, equal opportunity and humane treatment. So, if it really was an accidental pregnancy, the baby birthed by the woman whose man is unwilling to take financial responsibility, should be taken care by the society and government initially, and the woman (and also the man, if he is not completely a unwavering jerk) should be given childcare and additional support so that they can develop skills and become financially liberated enough to take care of both themselves and the baby (see although fatherhood is a social construct, our society has probably come a long way to just let go of that concept without inflicting irreversible harm on women and babies/children, and indirectly, the entire society. And, this evolution has made the sperm donors kind of good second parent figure too, some of whom even perform at an equal level as the birthing parents. Which is very logical too. After all, nurture is everything. Every human being has too much potential). And, lastly, people should stop shaming the single parent women, they stop calling her government's wife, living on stamps and what not.

Haha, if only even the 50% rapists were put into jail. And, those who are put into jail, often come out and seek revenge on the women, fear of which prevents even more women from fighting a case, along with other pressures from the society. If only, those were considered seriously and taken cared of.

Yes, there are many kinds of contraceptives. Btw, you should have also mentioned the man pills (The pill refers to women's pill in popular understanding). And, condoms are not that much effective too. But, the sentence, gay people don't need contraception is not fully right, although the English meaning of contraception is preventing pregnancy, it's largely understood as a preventive measure for STD too (but yes, vaccines etc. are much more better way).

Not the initial for Man/Male. After all, this letter is not only reserved for that. It's the initial of my name, and I am a woman.
