For me, the thing is I don't like to differentiate between my guy and girl friends, and I have heartly conversation with both sexes. But till now, many guys misunderstood it as I am interested in them, which was really sad. One married guy even had the hypocrisy to hit on me, and tell me men and women can't be just friends, I answered that I think they very much can, at least from the woman's side, and if men don't want it, they should make them very clear the moment they are wanting something else other than friendships.

But to balance things out, I do know there are women who just want to vent to their guy friends, and yes, do use them as emotional vibrators, even when they have a hint that the guys want something else from them, like sex or relationship. And, I am not okay with that.
